That is a very interesting piece of news which I must have missed somewhere down the line just like i seemed to have missed this comment when it was posted. Just checked out the stadium you talked about, not in person of course :), and it is indeed nice to see the grandest sports stage have a few green ad-ons that you can keep an eye on...

Thanks Sameer, good info you gave here. Another Green thing they have made is the swimming stadium called ”Water cube”. Its steel structure is covered by ’bubble surface’ that allows 90 percent of sunlight into the venue and acts as a greenhouse to save energy.
I have always loved Olympics and now its so great to see it going Green :)
