Hey, this the most unexpected yet interesting list of eco stuff! Sameer, I enjoyed the whole post…..shows intense ‘green’ hard work. Wonder how you comforted your bottom as you went about the whole post :)
The magnetic floating bed and New York River Gym are exceptionally unusual eco concepts.

O Really? And i was dumb to think it was the floating part that was would do wonders :P
In that case the trains running on magnets should add that in their list of advantages :)

It would be good Manish cos it gives you the extra cushion of $1.5 millions under it which makes it all the more bouncy. Of course, if you are not too keen on spending that much then it is a bit of a pain in the ’You know what’... :)
It is another one for the collector’s edition, i guess.

Deepa, The whole green ’hard work’ was done on my bed which is not floating at all anywhere but is still a lot more comfy than my chair. Anyway, thanks for the concern :)

Moreover Manish the floating bed saves you the making of a bed and all the wood used in it, so that is probably a bit of an up. Moreover the Levitation trains that you talk are not all magnetic, that is mag-lev, and the actually use an electric circuit and power to mimic the levitation achieved by magnetic power. So this is far more greener than the levitation trains in most cases.

Thanks for the info on levitation Sameer. I was just talking of the magnetic part (in jest), not the way it is generated.
And while we are at it, of course the magnetic field generated (polarity change that pushes the train) won’t cover large area otherwise it will hamper gadgets carried by passengers and maybe also the navigation systems.
And yes, saving wood does make it more green but reduces a hell lot more Greens from your bank account...
