When i say plastic, i do not surely mean a variety of plastic that will just wear away quickly with time. But i do agree with you that it is not the ideal solution to the problem. As far as far more suitable bikes go, we would welcome if you point them out. It is still a difficult thing to practically overcome and eliminate the usage of plastic completely and that too rapidly. As far as common sense goes, didn’t we here that it is not not all that common always. :)
Anyway let me assure you that this is not a ’fragile’ bike

I don’t agree with you on the fact that when we have plastic vs. car CO2, plastic comes out to be more eco friendly...
Plastic is made of petrol and unless we can recycle the material, its destruction is also really harmful. In addition, such bike’s life expectancy is probably weak as plastic is fragile. Hence going from cars to plastic bikes remains quite useless!!!
Thus I find it quite irresponsive to put forward such an initiative when dozens of bike manufacturers exist - with far more sustainable bikes.
This blog usually shows more common sense! What happened here? Cool design never means environmentally sound!
