Phoenix is doing their best at going green. We have stayed in a lot of Phoenix Hotels and have come across those towers that look like palms. Definitely a lot easier on the eyes than a bunch of metal.

Not so fast. Take a closer look. That’s not a palm tree, it’s a tower (metal and all) built to look like a palm tree. Yeah, a bit easier on the eyes, but pretty cheesy close-up, and most definitely not a palm tree. They are all over the Southwest, have been for years (the NW prefers faux fir or pine), so I don’t think the green or eco-friendly tag applies here.
BTW, would a cell tower work if it was swayin in the wind?
